San Francisco Is Demanding Permit For Tech Ideas Testing In Public Places

San Francisco is famous for various things, but one of them is newly startup areas like silicon valley. Now even though it’s good to see tech companies, especially new ones, are emergency every day from Silicon valley and testing their ideas. Still, it’s creating a problem for ordinary citizens. Now to avoid such issues, the Board of Supervisors have decided to pass a legislature that will require tech startups to get a permit for their ideas.

Board said that they are tired of seeing transportation, delivery apps getting tested on the streets of San Francisco every day by new companies. Such a thing shook many people when a few months ago, a new startup launched electric scooters suddenly in the morning, and people faced a lot of problems because of it. When the raise of e-scooter came to the city, many people from the city raised complaints about it. Usually, tech ideas get lots of support from people, but when they are tested without any intimation, and suddenly, one can get frustrated out of it.

The president of the Board of Supervisors who introduced this bill said that they support new tech ideas. Still, the ordinary citizens are not guinea pigs on which such things can be tested without their permission and without paying any fees. The tech industry, especially the transportation and delivery niche, is producing a new type of technology for users, and that’s making people annoyed. As of now, this regulation does not specify which kind of technology is subject to permit, but delivery drones, data gathering devices at public places are going to be subjected to require a license. Those technology ideas which involved the use of public places or event public will require tech companies to get an official permit from the board. Even though this regulation is making things harder for new companies, it’s suitable for people.
